If you decide to switch to another network and you want to keep your phone number, you’ll need to request a 'Porting Authorisation Code' (PAC).

You’ll then need to share that code with your new network provider, when requested.

You can request your PAC by:

You should receive your PAC within 60 seconds, and it will be valid for 30 days. If you want a PAC, you’ll need to be in the UK to request it.

You have up to 30 days from when you leave giffgaff to request a PAC from us, and it will be valid for an additional 30 days from the date of issue. If you wish to request a PAC after you have left, you can do this by logging into your account. We’ll be sad to see you go.

Note: If your SIM has been inactive for longer than 6 months, it will be automatically deactivated. A member is then able to request a PAC from our agents within 30 days of being deactivated. This will allow members to transfer the number to a different UK network.
