The PIN (Personal Identification Number) can be enabled to prevent unauthorised access to your giffgaff SIM.
By default, 5555 is the PIN for your giffgaff SIM.
Both the PIN and the PUK codes are supplied by giffgaff, but only the PIN code can be changed.
Setting a SIM PIN adds an extra layer of security to your mobile device, helping to keep your personal data safe. It ensures that even if someone gets hold of your SIM, they won’t be able to use it without the correct PIN. It's a simple step to take that can make a big difference in protecting your information.
Changing a SIM PIN
You can change your SIM PIN in your phone settings. You'll be prompted to enter your current PIN (which initially will be the default 5555) and asked to select and confirm an new one.
