Deleting your eSIM removes it permanently from your device. Once an eSIM has been deleted, it cannot be restored or recovered by simply switching to a new eSIM.
If you still have access to your giffgaff account and need to continue using an eSIM, you'll need to replace your SIM with a new physical SIM through the giffgaff app or website.
For security reasons, eSIM MFA codes are no longer sent by email. If you can’t access your account because your eSIM was deleted and you’re unable to receive verification codes, you’ll need to contact us for help recovering access to your account.
To activate a physical SIM, follow the quick steps in the giffgaff app on your phone.
Keep in mind that you’ll need to wait an hour between each eSIM switch. You can switch to a new eSIM between 4:30am and 9:30pm.
Note: To finish your eSIM swap, you’ll need to pass a quick security check (MFA) using a code sent by SMS text. You can also try swapping to a physical SIM, if you're unable to receive it by SMS text.
