Choosing your default SIM is simple, but it depends on which mobile phone you have:

Apple

  1. First, head over to Settings

  2. Then, choose Mobile Service

  3. From here, you’ll be able to choose which SIM you’d like to use for Mobile Data, Default Voice Line, and Texts. You can even turn your SIMs on and off.

Android

  1. Go to Settings then tap Network & Internet or Wireless & Networks

  2. From here, open up the Dual SIM option

  3. In this section, you can choose which SIM you want to make calls, texts, or use data from

If you have multiple SIMs on your phone, it’s important to set the right SIM as your default for data, voice, and texts. If not, you might end up using the wrong SIM or might even end up with no service if the default SIM no longer works.

This same applies when switching from a physical SIM to an eSIM, as the old physical SIM will no longer be able to connect to a network. So, we recommend removing the old SIM once the new eSIM gets signal.
