Can I still use my eSIM if I switch to a different phone?

Yes you can, as long as your new phone is compatible with eSIM. Here’s how to move your eSIM to your new phone:

  1. Check your phone is eSIM compatible:

    • Look in your phone’s settings

    • Or dial *#06# - if you see an EID number, you’re good to go

    • Using the giffgaff app? We’ll only show the eSIM option if your device supports it

  2. Get set up on your new phone:

    • Download and log in to the giffgaff app on your new device

  3. Switch your eSIM:

    • Go to Account > SIM > Replace my SIM

    • Tap Switch to new eSIM

    • Follow the on-screen steps

And that’s it, your eSIM will be up and running on your new phone in no time 👍

Note: To finish your eSIM swap, you’ll need to pass a quick security check (MFA) using a code sent by SMS text. You can also try swapping to a physical SIM, if you're unable to receive it by SMS text.
