Payback is our way of rewarding you for doing something that helps giffgaff and the giffgaff community. It comes as Payback points. Or you might see it in your account in monetary terms.

Earning Payback points is continuous, but only the ones collected before 11:59 pm on 31 May and 11:59 pm on 30 November will be paid in the following Payback payment.

There are loads of different ways to earn Payback points on the community forum:

The amount of Payback you've earned is based on how many members you've recruited and your participation in the giffgaff community forums.

Payments are made in the second and third weeks of June and of December every year.

Payback points are added throughout the year in two 6-month Payback periods: 1 December to 31 May and 1 June to 30 November. If you're eligible and you've selected how you want to receive your points, you’ll get your Payback for that period just after it finishes. Earning Payback points is continuous, but only the ones collected before 11:59 pm 31 May and 30 November will be paid in the next Payback payment.

If you don't make a choice, your Payback will roll over to the next period. Rollover only happens once for each set of Payback, so if you rolled over your Payback last period, make sure you make a selection or it will be lost.
