We understand that roaming charges in Switzerland, the Isle of Man, Guernsey, and Jersey can be a bit confusing. Although these locations are in or near Europe, they are not part of the EU roaming agreement.
What does this mean for you?
If you're using your giffgaff SIM in these locations, calls, texts, and data won’t be covered by our regular Roam Like at home plan. These locations are not included in our EU roaming allowance, so you will be charged separately from your credit when using your phone there.
Note: When around the Switzerland border your phone might automatically connect to the network, even if you’re in a neighbouring EU country.

Making a phone call or sending a text from this country to another country that falls outside the UK, EU and selected destinations will cost £1 per minute and 30p/text.
However; the good news is you can add a giffgaff 'travel data add-on' to help keep costs down while in Switzerland, and enjoy affordable mobile data during your trip!
