How do I change my member name?

How to change your giffgaff member name plus getting a reminding if you've forgotten it.

When you first set up your account, we’ll give you a default member name. But if you haven’t already used the ‘Change member name’ option on your dashboard, you can swap it for something that’s more you. Just the once though, so choose wisely!

Here's how to do it:

  1. Log in to your account using the member name we gave you and your password (this link can't be used once you've changed your member name and logged in with it thereafter).

  2. Check for the 'Change member name' option on your dashboard. If it’s there, you’re good to go!

  3. Click on the 'Change member name' button (NOT confirm).

  4. The box above (where your giffgaff-assigned name is) will now let you type in a new member name.

  5. Happy with your pick? Go ahead and hit that orange 'Confirm' button.

After that, you’ll be logged out and sent back to the giffgaff login page. Just log in again using your new member name and your password.

When you’re in, you’ll spot your new name right next to your phone number on your dashboard - lovely jubbly!

Forgot your member name?

No worries. Just text membername to 43430 from your giffgaff phone and we’ll send it to you. Sorted.
