Members can log into their giffgaff account online or through the App. To log into your account, just follow these steps:

  1. Head over to the login page

  2. Enter your membername or the phone number linked to your account

  3. Enter your password and press ‘Log in’. A verification code will be sent to the phone number linked to your account. Or on the same page, choose to have the code sent via email (see the example below):

  4. Enter the verification code and press ‘Log in’

The 2-step verification code is sent by SMS to a member's phone number by default. However, members can choose their preferred default method (email or SMS) to receive the 2-step verification code. To do this:

Online

In your account, go to ‘Security’ ‘2-step verification’ → select ‘Select as default’ under your email address.

App

Go to ‘Account’‘Security’ → select ‘Select as default’ under your email address.

Important: If you have multiple accounts, please ensure that you are logging into the correct account. The best way to do this is to log in using the phone number linked to the account you want to access.

Suggestion: For the easiest and most convenient experience, we recommend downloading the giffgaff App. You can download it from the App Store, Google Play and for Huawei. Once downloaded, just follow the steps above for the easiest way to access your account.

What if I’ve forgotten my membername or password?

If you have forgotten your membername and/or password, no worries, here's what you can do to get sorted:

- If you’ve forgotten your membername, use the phone number linked to your account to login as it’s easier to remember. However, if you need to know your membername, text name, membername or username to 43430 from your giffgaff SIM.

- For password reminders, you can reset it easily here

Note: If you don't have access to your phone, you can see your membername in any giffgaff emails.

2-step verification email/SMS problems

Let's sort this. Just follow the steps below that fit:

I didn’t receive my verification code

  • Check to see that you've entered the correct details (membername, email address/phone number)

  • It can take up to 5 minutes for the code to arrive. Wait and if still doesn't arrive, try clicking 'resend code'

  • If by email: Clear your cookies and cache and if you have a VPN on, switch this off. Make sure you check your email junk/spam folder. If that fails, try a different browser and click ‘resend code

  • If by SMS: Check your phone has a signal and is turned on. And that it isn’t set to 'flight mode' or 'do not disturb'

I don’t have access to my phone/email right now

We need to confirm your email/number to help keep your account secure. This means each time you log into your giffgaff account, we’ll send a verification code to your email or by SMS.

Reach out to our super helpful agents, provide some extra verification information and they'll be happy to help.

I received the code but it isn’t working

  • Check you’ve entered the right code

  • If it’s been more than 10 minutes, your code may have expired. Just request a new one and you’ll be good to go
