If your top-up isn't showing, don't worry. There's a few checks you can quickly do.
First of all, let's make sure you’re signed in to the right giffgaff account. It’s easy to mix them up if you've got more than the one. Secondly, double-check whether you were topping up credit or renewing your plan early - that can make a difference.
Next, head to your order history to see if your payment’s gone through. If you spot '1 x top-up' there, you’re good - it’s just a case of waiting a few minutes for it to show.
Note: If your order history shows '1 x Plan', you should see this in your Dashboard.
If your order history shows '1x top-up' and you don’t have an active plan with data, your credit may be used up quickly. This happens because your phone will use Pay As You Go (PAYG) rates for data - even when data is being used in the background.
Data on PAYG costs 10p per MB, which is around £100 for 1GB.
If you’d like a data allowance, it’s best to buy or renew your plan. A plan gives you data, minutes, and texts for a set price each month, while top-up credit is used for PAYG charges. If you'd like to buy a plan using credit, read 'Can I buy a plan with my credit?'
