1. Use a strong, unique password
1. Use a strong, unique password
It is very important not to reuse passwords and avoid using memorable dates or personal information. If you have an iPhone, have a look at their Password monitoring feature as it will alert you when one of your saved passwords has been compromised and prompt you to change it.
Note: giffgaff requires 12 characters (a combination of symbols lower/uppercase letters and numbers)
The best way to set up a strong password is by using a password manager or picking three random words, sticking those three words together and then replacing some of the letters with numbers and symbols. For more information on how to choose a strong password have a look at this guide.
2. Enable 2-step verification
2. Enable 2-step verification
Multi-factor authentication is a way to add a layer of security to your account. Once you have set it up, you’ll be able to use your phone number/member name to log in along with your password. Following this, you’ll receive a text message or email to your email address with a code that you will need to input at the next stage of your login journey.
To enable this, please login and head over to your security settings on your profile page and select 2 step verification.
3. Use an email address that is personal to you and ensure its security
