When you set up the eero app for the first time there might be a software update to do. It’ll take about 10 minutes while your device updates.
Here’s what you need to do;
Head to the settings tab, then tap Software updates
If there’s one available, hit Install now
Confirm by tapping Yes, update now
Your software will now update. After that’s done, just open up the app again and you can carry on setting up your network.
If you have 2 or more eeros, make sure you do these 1 at a time or the second one may not update correctly.
One last thing, it’s always worth keeping an eye out for software updates. They shouldn’t be too frequent and they’ll help keep everything running smoothly. In most cases your eero will automatically apply them and schedule the installs overnight.
