Giffgaff voicemail is an automatic service (often referred to as '443' or the voicemail service) that, once activated, allows callers to leave messages when you are unavailable.
Access your voicemail
To access your voicemail, just dial 443 or +443 from your mobile phone to check your voicemail. Calls to check your voicemail are included in your plan, or are 8p per call if you're using credit in the UK.
Note: If you're abroad, rates to access your voicemail might be higher, especially those outside of the EU and selected destinations. You can check the rates on our roaming changes page.
If you need to access your voicemail from another phone, just call your phone number. When you hear your voicemail, press star (*) and enter your voicemail PIN.

Unsure what your voicemail PIN is? It's nice and simple to reset it, if so.

Call 443 to access giffgaff voicemail
At the voice prompt, press * (star), then select option 4
Enter your existing voicemail PIN code, followed by # (hash)
Enter your new 4-10 digit PIN code, followed by # (hash)
Confirm your new PIN by entering it again, followed by # (hash)
Woo hoo. Your PIN has been changed

The easiest way is to text RESET to 802443. We’ll text you a temporary PIN code you can use to access your voicemail and add a new PIN code.
Manage your voicemail settings
Need to switch your voicemail on or off? It’s quick and easy. Using your phone, just dial:
1616 to switch it on
1626 to switch it off

Note: If you turn off your voicemail, people won't be able to leave you voice messages. And you won't get a notification that you've missed a call if your phone was switched off or didn't have service.
Want more time to answer before voicemail picks up? You can set your ring time to 5, 10, 15, 20, 25 or 30 seconds if you're on iPhone. You can ask one of our agents to help you with this, use dial codes to change this manually.
Open your phone and dial: **61*443*10*<seconds>#
Replace <seconds> with 5, 10, 15, 20, or 25.
Press call to apply
Note: If you're using Live Voicemail on iOS, you'll need to switch this off otherwise your voicemail will activate after 15 seconds, even if it's set to 20 seconds or longer.

If you’re using Live Voicemail on iOS, you can manage your settings through Apple’s options. If changing voicemail settings, it’s a good idea to switch Live Voicemail off first, as it can sometimes get in the way. To this, here's some steps:

Tap Apps
Tap Phone
Switch Live Voicemail off
