How do I switch to giffgaff broadband?

Bringing your home broadband to giffgaff, how One Touch Switch works, and what to do if you're moving home.

Thinking of bringing your broadband over to giffgaff? Here's how it works, whether you're staying put or moving to a new place.

What's One Touch Switch?

One Touch Switch (OTS) is the system that takes the hassle out of changing broadband provider. You arrange everything with your new provider, in this case giffgaff, and we sort the switch with your old provider for you. No need to call them to cancel.

How switching to giffgaff works

  1. Choose your giffgaff broadband plan and place your order at www.giffgaff.com/broadband

  2. Give us a few details so we can arrange the switch with your current provider

  3. We'll confirm your switch date, which usually takes about 2 weeks

  4. Your old service stops on the same day your giffgaff broadband goes live, so you won't pay two providers at once

We'll handle the rest with your old provider. They’ll send you info about leaving them, any final bills or charges for ending a contract early.

Moving home?

One Touch Switch only works when you're changing provider at the same address. If you're moving to a new home, that's a brand new connection, so OTS doesn't apply.

To get giffgaff broadband at your new place, place a new order for your new address rather than switching:

  1. Place an order for your new address

  2. Pick a go-live date around your move-in day

Note: It's worth starting this a few weeks before you move, so your broadband is ready when you arrive.

Already have giffgaff broadband at your old address? Chat with our agents to arrange what happens to your current service when you move.
